“A set of five automator workflows installable as finder plugins that allows you to add/remove/change the name extension of the selected Finder items, or to add a suffix/prefix to the name of the selected Finder items, through contextual-menu„
Main features are:
  1. Control click (or right click) on files in the Finder, and open the Automator submenu of the contextual menu
  2. If you choose 'Add extension', a dialog window will appear and you can enter an extension that will be applied to the names of selected items
  3. If you choose 'Add prefix to name', a dialog window will appear and you can enter a prefix that will be applied to the names of selected items
  4. If you choose 'Add suffix to name', a dialog window will appear and you can enter a suffix that will be applied to the names of selected items
  5. If you choose 'Change extension', a dialog window will appear and you can enter an extension that will replace the ones of the selected items
  6. If you choose 'Remove extension', the file extension of the selected items filenames will be removed
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. To install the plugins, move them into the folder "Library:Workflows:Applications:Finder" inside your home folder, or just run the 'install plugins' applescript which will do the same for you.
